SAN FERNANDO VALLEY COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS
July 8, 2010—Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antonovich joined local officials at the inaugural meeting of the San Fernando Valley Council of Governments (COG).
The COG is a new strategic alliance between the cities of Glendale, Burbank, San Fernando and Los Angeles—plus nearby Santa Clarita and county unincorporated areas to enhace the region's voice and clout in issues including transportation, education and economic development.

GROUND BREAKING OF GOLD LINE PHASE 2A PROJECT
June 26, 2010—Supervisor Mike Antonovich joins officials from the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority and the Gold Line Construction Authority on Phase 2A of the Gold Line from Arcadia to Azusa.
The project is estimated to create 7,000 jobs and generate $1 billion in economic output during the 30 months of construction. The 11.3 miles of rail will connect the cities of Pasadena, Arcadia, Duarte, Azusa, Monvorvia, and Irwindale to the MTA's light rail system.

13TH ANNUAL REMEMBERING OUR VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES EVENT
May 29, 2010—Supervisor Mike Antonovich hosted his 13th Annual "Remembering Our Veterans and their Families Event" in Arcadia -- a day-long tribute to our armed forces and a presentation of free services to veterans and their families from numerous agencies, including County departments and governmental, independent and private agencies.

TRAIL DUSTERS RIDE AGAIN
May 16, 2010—Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich hosted his semi annual trail ride on Sunday, May 16th through the scenic trails of Hahamongna Watershed Park in Pasadena.
The ride was enjoyed by 150 inexperienced and seasoned riders alike.
Supervisor Antonovich, an advocate of the equestrian lifestyle, spoke on the need to protect the County’s trails. “Our County’s trails and open spaces are vital for families to enjoy the outdoors,” said Antonovich.
