Description: February 25, 2011 — Los Angeles County Mayor Michael D. Antonovich joined City of Burbank Mayor Anja Reinke, Councilman Dave Golonski, and Jacob Williams of the County's Department of Public Works in breaking ground on the Lake Alameda Greenway project.
Once the project is complete, the $1.4 million project will allow Burbank residents to enjoy local access to a quarter-mile along the Burbank Western channel between Victory Blvd. and Alameda Ave.
Improvements include a meandering pedestrian path; landscaping with colorful, native drought-tolerant plants and trees; improved lighting; decorative walkways; trash receptacles; doggy stations and connectivity to major thoroughfares.
